It’s definitely going to be a beach week!  With temperatures in the 90’s and a forecast of full sun… it is time for some sand and water.  Here are some of my favorite stores to shop at for baby and toddler swimsuits, some really cool beach toys, and some of my favorite beaches near Boston:

Favorite Stores for Bathing Suits: J.Crew Kids, Baby Gap, Mini Rodini, Rikshaw Designs, Vineyard Vines, Janie & Jack, and sometimes Carters

A good pail and shovel never fail, but here are some neat beach toys:

Sand Brick Maker (how cool is that?!)

Animal Footprint Sandals

Good old Dump Truck or Sailboat

Kites

And Lastly…where to go (just a few of my family-friendly favs):

Wingersheek Beach (a tucked away beautiful family friendly beach with restrooms and a concession stand)

Singing Beach (a popular, but beautiful beach with sand that really does sing. Also has restrooms)

Nantasket Beach (a wide open beach with tidal pools, ice cream, a carousel, and restrooms)

Cape Cod Beaches

We decided to take a stroll down the Boston Harborwalk this weekend. As you will see, it was windy, very windy. Oh…and if you are wondering, I am 31 weeks! Eeek!!!

You may have seen my younger brother around here before, but if you haven’t…meet my brother Drew ( the super smiley one).  And the one making him laugh, that’s my husband (but you knew that :)So they told me that I was too stiff and needed to loosen up….mission accomplished :/

Like every other room in my house, I know I want the nursery to be mostly white and simple in design. My dilemma is what pops of color to add.  Should I just do neutrals , pastels, or lately I am liking the bright neons. Here are some nurseries I am inspired by:

1. Around the World-  Matt and I LOVE to travel and bring back little pieces of other countries- like souvenirs, recipes, or just some really great stories.

*You can view more of this nursery over at ontobaby.com

2. Just the Animals- to say I am in love with these prints by Sharon Montrose is and understatement!  Ooo they are just too cute! I just have to figure out what a giraffe says before our little girl asks one day.

*this gorgeous nursery was designed by a New York City-based boutique baby planner and concierge called Sissy + Marley.

3. Neons- maybe a little pop of color would be fun?

*this beautiful nursery was designed by The Brick House.
