The leaves are beginning to crunch on the ground and the winds this morning brought a fall chill to my face as I ran. As the sun rose I pulled on my first cable knit and sat down with a warm cup of chai. My mittens and chunky scarves have been pulled from storage and the summer throws have been replaced with the warmest of fur blankets. These are a few of the many things I love about this season.
And here are some of the things that I am excited about making this month:
Hot Chocolate Chai- the best of both worlds coming together, right? …let’s see if it is genius or not.
Almond Joy Cookies- considering that I went to the store for candy just an hour before my 1 tricker treater arrived…my candy selection was quite limited and I missed out on my favorite, Mounds. To make up for it, almond joy cookies.
Oh, and then their will be pie:
Tomorrow Night for Dinner:
Every year my husband comments on how he loves all the fixin’s of Thanksgiving, especially stuffing. So tomorrow night we will be having herb roasted chicken, stuffing, and maybe those twice baked potatoes.
DIY Rug: I have been debating for weeks whether or not the artist in me can actually make this felted rug. I’ll keep you posted…by the looks on everyone’s faces, it may just be a disaster. Or in my opinion, it could be a huge cozy success!
Wouldn’t those pine cones be lovely with a cream linen bow?
That’s all folks. Oooo I just love Fall
