Make Way for Ducklings | Boston Children’s Photographer

Lilly and her Mommy sat beneath a tree in the Boston Public Gardens.  There they began the story Make Way for Ducklings by Robert McCloskey.  Just a few pages in Lilly shut the book and began to make her way over to the pond.  There she found Mr. and Mrs. Mallard duck.

Mr. Mallard duck climbed right up and out of the water…I think he was looking for some peanuts. And of course there were ducklings!! Do you remember Ralphie and Walter?

Finally some peanuts for Mr. Mallard.

In the story the ducklings like the Boston Public Gardens so much that they decide to live there and eat peanuts.  Ralphie and Walter on the other hand preferred living in a Boston apartment…where they had their own bath tub, fresh towels, and my slippers.
